Extension projects are this article’s subject, that seeks to describe how different experiences can contribute to the learning process and the formation of more critic citizens. Both selected projects are coordinated by Professors of Paraná Federal University and aim to offer a wider view of society through the educommunication. The universitary extension and it’s incidence on Journalism teaching are also explored as promoters of interaction and the debate with the community. From a exploratory research, we did semi-structured interviews with Communications students that participate in the projects “MEPE - Media, Public Space and Education” and “NECP - Communication and Popular Education Core” with the objective of disclosure in what measure the Universitary Extension can contribute to the process of teaching-learning and with the knowledge production.
